Ms. Martha, or as I liked to call her Whatta!!, was a kind and generous person. She earned the nickname Whatta from one of her young students who couldn’t pronounce Martha. The name brought joy and laughter. I had the honor of working with Ms. Martha 16 years ago while at SWE. She always had a smile to share and hugs for all. She will be remembered with joy knowing we and the children she served were lucky to have known her.
