Yolanda M. Castillo's Obituary
Yolanda M. Castillo, a beautiful soul, was taken by the Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2017, to be one of His Angels in Heaven as she was here on earth.
She was a wonderful woman who devoted her life to her family. She constantly surrounded herself with those who cherished her dearly. She had dogs that became more like children to her. She enjoyed coloring, looking after her grandchildren, and watching her favorite Novelas. She enjoyed working in her yard and making her flowers look the best on her street for as long as she could.
In 2016, at the age of 62, she was shockingly diagnosed with Lung Cancer in one of her lungs. It was removed and she was on the road to recovery. Her body wasn't as strong as her will, and the cancer came back with a vengeance. It spread to both lungs becoming Stage IV Lung Cancer. She became ill with pneumonia and was admitted to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital ICU. Her family spent days and nights with her at the hospital with highest of hope and praying for strength. Sadly, she was taken at the age of 63.
Preceding her in death; Mother, Irene R. Martinez; Father, Jose A. Martinez; Sister, Alamar Carolina Castillo; Brother, Jose Martinez Jr. and Daughter, Laura Jean Castillo.
