Willie Gallegos' Obituary
With heavy hearts and deep love, we share that Willie Gallegos went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born on February 10, 1936, in Pleasanton, Texas, to Justino and Cefernia Gallegos. Willie lived a long and full life as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and a cherished friend to all who were fortunate to know and love him.
Willie is now reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife of 69 years, Maria Gallegos. He is survived by his loving children: Rachel Martinez and her husband Severo Martinez, Carlos Gallegos, Nelda Lozano and her husband Jaime Lozano, and Steven Lopez and his wife Elizabeth Lopez.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in his 11 grandchildren: Gabriel Flores and wife Nina Flores, Valerie Flores, Jackie Martinez, Devin Charbonneau and husband Trevor Charbonneau, Kevin Lozano, Melani Martinez and husband Orlando Martinez, Troy Lozano, Carlos Gallegos Jr. and wife Alexia Gallegos, Jeremy Lopez, Joshua Lopez, and Jase Lopez. Willie was also blessed with 9 great grandchildren who brought him great joy in his later years: Celeste, Angelo, Sofia, Zavier, Zaylyn, Rory, Levi, James, and Isaiah.
Willie’s memory lives on through his siblings: Juan, Rosa, Victor, Lola, Mary Lou, Isabel, and Felipe, as well as countless nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is also reunited in the afterlife with his parents Justino and Ceferina and his brother Pedro.
Willie will be remembered for his sense of humor, wisdom, the deep love he held for his family and his unwavering faith. He was a steady presence, always ready with a smile, a story, or a helping hand. His legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew him. To know him was to love him.
