Wilfred John Saavedra passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 68. He was born April 27, 1953, to Velda and Serafico Saavedra in Grants, New Mexico. Wilfred is proceeded in death by his parents Serafico and Velda Saavedra of Grants, New Mexico; brother Edward Saavedra of San Diego, California; nieces Victoria Lynn Roundy of Grants, New Mexico, Andrea Amos of Albuquerque New Mexico; nephew Ignacio (Nacho) Saavedra of Grants, New Mexico. He is survived by his son William Gauna and wife Rachelle of Grants, New Mexico; granddaughters Shantel Gauna of Las Vegas, Nevada, Brittney Hassel and husband Doug of Grants, New Mexico; great granddaughters Iris and Violet Hassel of Grants, new Mexico; brothers Sammy Saavedra and wife Leonora of San Mateo, New Mexico, Serafico Saavedra Jr. and wife Janelle of Amarillo, Texas, David Saavedra and wife Sally of San Rafael, New Mexico, Leroy Saavedra and wife Beverly of Amarillo, Texas; sisters Patricia Montoya and husband Robert of Redding, California, Antoinette Ortiz and husband George of Grants, New Mexico; sister- in law Katie Saavedra of San Diego, California along with many nephews and nieces. Wilfred was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.
