Wendell Larison Brooks' Obituary
Wendell Larison Brooks was born to Elmer and Mary Jerrel Larison on November 10, 1955 in Nixon, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2020. Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his birth parents and adopted parents, Wendell E and Melonie Brooks; father-in-law, Gordon Carpenter; and brother, Robert Joe Larison. He is loved and miss by those who survived him, beginning with his loving wife of 44 years, Marsha E. (Carpenter) Brooks; children, Jason and Stephanie Brooks, Lindsey (Brooks) and Jeremy Lucas; and Casey and LeAnne Brooks. He was a proud Papaw of his 7 grandbabies, Chloe, Payton, Aidan, MacKenzie, Gunnar, Harper, and Harleigh.
Wendell was born and raised in San Antonio where he attended Highland High School where he played football. He was a hardworking man who worked as a machinist for 45 years. He also enjoyed high school football where he volunteered to haul the rocket for Judson High School. He truly loved his kids and grandkids, spending as much time as he could with his family, enjoyed hunting and fishing and motorcycles.
The family will receive friends for a memorial service on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Camero Funeral Home at City Base, 3706 South WW White Road, San Antonio, Texas 78222. Service and care under the direction of Camero Funeral Home at City Base.
