Velma Lee Reynolds McEnery's Obituary
Velma Lee Reynolds McEnery, 83, died June 13, 2012. She was born March 18, 1929 to Charles Franklin and Lora C. Woodruff in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. She is survived by her two sons, Lawrence (Larry) Reynolds of Mexia and John Reynolds of San Antonio. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and eight grandchildren: Sydney Reynolds, Seth Reynolds and wife Jennifer, Dorothy Reynolds Riley and Husband John, David Reynolds, Janine Reynolds and Laura Reynolds Moodie and Husband Myron. She is also survived by two sisters, Theda Cannon of Detroit, Michigan and Oveda Felix of Rogers, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by husbands, John E. Reynolds, David McEnery (Red River Dave), her parents, a brother and sister and grandchild Lawrence Reynolds Junior. Velma Lee worked on radio KBUC and KBOP in Pleasanton on the program “Reynolds’ Rendezvous” and was well listened to by many around the area. She also wrote a column in the Atascosa County News. Visitation will be hosted by her family on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Camero Funeral Home, 20567 Highway 16 S. Von Ormy, Texas from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Camero Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
