Valentin Chapa's Obituary
Valentin Chapa, born on February 15, 1956 in Garza Garcia, Mexico, died on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 68. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carmen Gomez Chapa; daughter, Vanessa Aileen Chapa; son, Valdemar Aaron Chapa; step-daughter, Felicia Gomez; grandpups, Willow Chapa, Tex Chapa, Louie Chapa, Kaiser Chapa; mother, Adela P. Chapa; siblings, Gloria Carrasco, Sergio Antonio Chapa, Steven P. Fulwider, Gustavo Chapa, Francisco Javier Chapa, Maria De Lourdes Chapa Dewey, Esperanza Chapa Cunio, and Rosanna Chapa; numerous nieces and nephews, but adored la princesa, Felicity Rose Martinez; as well as pets, Lucy Chapa and T-Rex Chapa. Valentin is preceded in death by his beloved son, Valentin Anthony Chapa; father, Leon G. Chapa; grandmother, Maria De Lourdes Perez; and sister, Faustina (Cuty) Rodriguez. Valentin retired as a Master SGT with the United States Air Force, where he served 26 years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment is scheduled for Friday, August 2, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
