I remember going to school in Jourdanton with Sylvia. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Always expressed such a joy to come across her old friends. Never a frown or harsh word. She will be greatly missed by us "old" Indians and Squaws. Rest in peace my friend.
I’ll never forget when I used to want ice cream or something late at night and I knew the only way I would get it is if my grandma asked my grandpa for it because if me or anyone else asked it was a for sure NO but I knew if SHE asked him it was an instant YES lol she would laugh when I’d tell her to do it and then say “okay mija but don’t you dare tell grandpa I did it for you he will be so mad” and we would laugh and laugh because he would fall for it every single time... I love you so much grandma!!! I’ll forever be your little “Palomita” as you always called me.. & trillions of “I miss yous” will never explain how much I truly miss you..
I remember when my grandma would jokingly tell me she was gonna haunt me when she was gone.. Now the only thing that haunts me is the fact that she really is gone.
