Stella Y. Gamez's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Stella Y. Gamez, who left us on January 12, 2025, at the age of 74. She departed this life surrounded by her loving family and dear friends, whose presence brought comfort in her final moments.
Stella was a woman of immense humor, boundless wisdom, and a heart that cherished the joy of family, especially during holidays. Her radiant spirit, love for the open road in her cherished 1979 V8 Trans Am, and passion for the beach were the hallmarks of a life well-lived and deeply loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan M. Hernandez; her parents, Valentin Gamez and Estela Y. Gamez; her grandson, Juan H. Arriola; her sister and best friend, Zulema Paz; and numerous siblings.
Stella’s legacy continues through her daughters: Janie Lee Hernandez, Margie Hernandez, and Annalisa Ramirez. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Casey Santino Arriola (wife, Maria Del Carmen Arriola), Christina R. Arriola (widow of J.H.A.), Diego Elias Elizardo, Adrianna Lee Salazar, Valentin Santiago Ramirez, and Roman Lorenzo Ramirez Her memory will also live on in her beloved great-grandchildren: Annalise L. Gomez, Natalie K. Arriola, Lauren E. Arriola, Mason A. Mariscal, and Kailey A. Arriola.
Stella’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and laughter. Her unwavering spirit, infectious humor, and cherished traditions will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of her life will be held at a date to be announced, where family and friends will gather to honor the beautiful soul that Stella was. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.
