Socorro Valdez Sanchez, born on December 18, 1929, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 in Jourdanton, Texas, at the age of 83 years. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her step-sons, Carlos A. Sanchez and wife Maria, from San Antonio, Texas, and Jose Sanchez and wife Gloria, from Poteet, Texas; step-daughters, Nidia Moreno and husband Frederico, from San Antonio, Texas, Graciela Balditt, from San Antonio, Texas and Rita Solis, from Poteet, Texas; grandchildren, Charlie Sanchez, Gilbert Sanchez, Isabel Herrera, Joey Sanchez, Frank Cerda, Patricia Melton, Diana Hernandez, Freddie Moreno, Ricardo Balditt, Juan Balditt, Javier Solis, Steve Solis, and Francy Leal; numerous great-grandchildren; and also numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives. Visitation will begin Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary Service will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Poteet, Texas. Burial will follow in First Memorial Park Cemetery.
