Simon S. Marin's Obituary
Simon Saenz Marin, born in San Antonio, Texas on October 10, 1935 passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 surrounded by his family. Mr. Marin was preceded in death by his son, Gunter Broich. Mr. Marin is survived by his wife, Dolores S. Marin; sons, Simon Marin, Jr., Edward Broich, and Leslie Broich (Elsa); daughters, Gloria Alejos (John), Linda Soto, Maribel Gonzales (Daniel) and Esmeralda Ramirez (Julio); brothers, Richard Marin (Mary) and Raul Marin (Agustina); sister, Susie Valdez; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; also numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives. Mr. Marin enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will begin Monday, October 5, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church, 8510 S. Zarzamora St. A Rosary Service will be held Monday Evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Church. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church. Everyone is to meet at Church. Burial services will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
