Sharon D. Frank's Obituary
Sharon Delaney-Frank passed away on Sunday August 7, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lorraine Delaney, and her youngest sister, Jamie Evans. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 30 years, Robert Frank Jr., her son Scott Carter and his wife Emily Hassman, and by her daughter Terri and her husband Jeremy Dial. Sharon also leaves behind her five grandchildren, Dannielle Kelsey, Alex Lavoie, Trinity Dial, Allie Dial and Julian Carter and great grandson, Sean Kelsey. Also surviving Sharon are her sister Daphne Delaney and her wife Sherry Swindell, and her brother John Delaney with his wife Diane. Sharon was a remarkable woman; she was kind, honest, loving and supportive. She loved to laugh and spend time with her grandkids. Sharon loved her family, her Irish roots, a great joke, of which she would always tell you she could never remember, and the multitude of ‘Pappyisms’. Known to many as Shay, she was well known for her Virginia, Georgia, Texas accent, a slow, sweet southern drawl that will be missed by so many. Sharon was a graduate of St Patricks High School in Richmond, VA and attended college at Tulane in New Orleans, LA.After moving to Texas, she went to work at the San Antonio Zoo where she took pride in knowing the personality of so many of the animals, before retiring to enjoy life with her family.
