Sandra Marie Reed's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Sandra M. Reed
February 2, 1956 – September 1, 2025
Sandra M. (Flores) Reed, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Von Ormy, Texas, on September 1, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Sandra lived a life full of purpose, adventure, and love.
A proud graduate of Burbank High School, Sandra went on to serve in several meaningful roles throughout her career. She worked as a USDA food inspector, a substitute teacher, and an administrative assistant at UTSA, Sul Ross University, Coastal Plains, and Somerset United Methodist Church. In every position, she brought warmth, dedication, and a spirit of service that touched countless lives.
Sandra’s passions were as vibrant as her personality. She found joy in barrel racing, trail riding, and gardening—activities that reflected her love for nature and her adventurous heart. She was an exceptional cook, known for making sure everyone around her was well-fed and happy. Her home was a haven of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her stepmother Jerilyn “Jerry” Flores; her brother David Flores and his wife Debbie; niece Amy Heater (Jimmy); her stepchildren Raquel Baxter Beasley (Thad), Sean Baxter (Tara), Dallas Reed Garcia (John), Texana Reed Garza (Eddie), Austin Reed, and Odessa Reed; her cherished grandchildren Christopher “CJ”, Monroe, and Mathis; and numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Her loyal pets—Sassy, Shooter, and Reba—were also part of her loving family.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Dorothy Remmers Flores, and her beloved husband, Roy L. Reed. We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with them in Paradise, riding trails with her cowboy and basking in eternal peace.
Sandie’s upbeat spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she so dearly loved.
We love you, Sandie. Until we meet again—ride free, laugh loud, and keep the garden blooming.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday September 16, 2025 11am at Somerset United Methodist Church, 8175 7th St, Somerset, TX.
