Ruben Martinez Gomez's Obituary
Ruben martinez Gomez, born November 12,1945 went to be with his Lord on October 26,2024. at the age of 78 years. Born to parents Melchor Gomez and Manuela Gomez, he was the second born of ten siblings.
Ruben was preceded in passing by his father,Melchor Gomez and mother, Manuela Gomez; brothers:,Armando Gomez, Richard Gomez, Melchor Gomez Jr.; sister: Della Gomez and daughter, Nancy Gomez.
Ruben is survived by his two children, son,Ruben Gomez Jr. and daughter, Christina Gomez and husband Juan De La Cruz; brother, Johnny Gomez and wife Genie; sisters: Mary Blanquiz and husband, Ralph, Dora Rios, Elva Ramon, Rosemary Gonzalez. He is also survived by his five grandsons ,seven granddaughters, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and great grandkids.
Ruben loved to listen to oldie but goodies music and was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was a football statistician, kept records on all football teams. He loved to play Chess and always looking for someone to play with him.
Ruben had accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior during the early 1970’s. He was part of Pastor Freddie Garcia’s Ministry who ministered to drug addicts.
He had renewed his faith and vows to Jesus again prior to his passing. Ruben passed away peacefully on his mother’s birthday, 10/26/2024, surrounded by love from his children, ex-wife, brother and sisters. He will be missed!
