Evelyn A.
This is us. This is the family my mom and dad created together.
Married on June 13, 2008, their love became the foundation of everything we are.
I am the oldest, Evelyn — and forever my daddy’s Tiny Dancer and his princess.
Roger Jr. is his first boy and namesake, his identical twin, and forever daddy’s Buckaroo.
Anthony is the baby — daddy’s Peanut.
Daddy loved SeaWorld, Six Flags, trips to the park, the zoo, and days at the beach. Anything that meant all of us together was his idea of the perfect day.
He was always my roller coaster partner. Holding my hand through every ride, and always the first one to guide me into every single haunted house. That was always our thing.
He loved helping Jr. fix things, and spending quiet time in his recliner playing games with Tony. He secretly kept up with Mom’s Grey’s Anatomy, always telling her to pause and replay his favorite parts.
He was also a cherished grandfather, affectionately called “Papa.” He treasured time with his grandchildren — building Legos with Topher and listening intently to Jay’s many stories, always giving them his full attention and heart.
He loved doing things that made life exciting. He loved shooting guns with us, playing laser tag, and spending time at places like Main Event and Dave & Buster’s. He was always up for trying something new, always laughing, always fully present. One memory we will never forget is the day he took us ice skating — he held onto me for as long as he could, until he finally had to let go so he could truly skate and enjoy it himself. That was who he was: adventurous, patient, playful, and always right there with us.
He showed his love through food and tradition. He cooked all our favorite meals — his famous meatloaf, pork chops, and specialty dishes. He made every one of our birthday cakes by hand, because store-bought could never compare. He wrote on them himself every year. He made the best turkey and ham, and one year even smoked it on the grill.
If there were a “Best Dad” award, it would belong to him.
He loved taking us out, teaching us, laughing with us, and letting us experience life together.
More than anything, he was our best friend.
We are forever grateful for you and the love you always showed us.
Forever in our hearts. Forever our daddy. 💙
