Robert G. Murphy, Jr., 61, of San Antonio, Texas, earned his wings October 27, 2014. He was born October 28, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of late Mary and Robert G. Murphy, Sr. He was the eldest of six siblings. Mr. Murphy served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and worked for the Fort Sam Houston Golf Course for 32 years, retiring in 2009. He is survived by his wife, Carolina Murphy; daughter, Lisa Shultz; son, Robert G. Murphy III; son in law, Brian Shultz; daughter in law, Malorie Murphy; grandchildren Ashley and Isaac Shultz, Miley and Robert G. Murphy IV; brothers, William, Michael, and Andrew Murphy; sister, Judy Murphy and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennes Murphy. Visitation will begin Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Camero Funeral Home. A Rosary Service will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in First Memorial Park Cemetery.
