Robert Edgar Hyde's Obituary
Hyde, Robert E. 83, formerly of Laredo, Tx and most recently Von Ormy Tx, passed away 10/24/20.
Robert was born in Pawtucket RI. He enlisted into the Airforce when he was just 17. He retired after 23 years of service to America. He was a very proud veteran who loved his Country.
He went on to work another 25 years. He was a hard working man that had no quit in him. He raised 6 children while juggling his military and then petroleum career. He was a Catholic who would attend mass, whether in Spanish or English, even though he didn't speak Spanish. He just loved the Lord.
Robert was a man who loved to strike up a conversation with anyone . He was very independent and loved to drive everyday. He would visit at least once a day Whataburger, Subway or Sam's club. He enjoyed mowing his lawn even if it didn't need mowing.
Robert follows his wife Barbara Hyde, daughter Hope Hyde, his mother, Sophie Hyde (BIALKOWSKI), father, Edgar Hyde, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
He leaves six children Bill Vasquez, Denise (Martinez) Stapley, Mauro Martinez , Evelyn (Hyde) Rego, Michael Hyde , Bryan Hyde. He also leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a nephew. Also his brother Joseph and Diane Hyde, and a cousin Vinny.
His memory will live with his family as a good man and is missed every moment. We love you Dad.
