Robert W. Hodges' Obituary
Beloved husband (Bob) Robert W. Hodges, born on August 27, 1946 in Marblehead Massachusetts has been called home by our Lord on July 17, 2022 at the age of 75.
Bob was married to his beloved wife Mary Luisa Hodges for over 44 years. He was a retired Air Force veteran and also served in the Vietnam war. Bob and Mary lived in many places due to being in the Air Force such as Okinawa Japan, Istanbul Turkey, Warner Robins Georgia, Abilene Texas and finally back to San Antonio where they made their home. He also retired from Civil Service and also retired as a school bus driver with the East Central School district, Bus #23.
Bob loved collecting and selling his Hot Wheel cars and would go to Bussey's Flea Market with his beloved Mary to sell his cars. Bob was a true blue football fan of the New England Patriots. Bob and Mary spent time at the kitchen table working on puzzles then gluing them together and hanging them up in frames. His favorite holiday was Christmas. He loved everything about it. The celebration of Jesus, the house decorations that he would put out, the yard art that he created with his wood works, and his family spending time with laughter and food and he especially loved wrapping presents with ribbons and bows and beautiful paper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Caliway Hodges Sr. and Bernice Hodges, sister Marsha Ann Hodges.
He is survived by his wife Mary Luisa Hodges, brother James Hodges, daughters Suzan McMann, Cynthia Rouse, Priscilla Tillman, Candy Jones, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
Bob was loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed. He was a kind and gentle man and loved celebrations. We know that one day we will see him again in heaven and we will celebrate with him and our Lord. Until then pop, rest in peace. We love you.
