I was at the family get together at the Brackenridge park and didn't know any of the new cousins that I've not meet yet and like always I was too shy to introduce myself and I was hanging out at the grill talking and she came and bear hugged my leg and I didn't know who she was and Gilbert told me her name was rita and I was like that makes sense. Hugged her back and that was the first and last I've seen her other than Facebook. We should have another one, just not in the summer
I will always remember our river barge ride, when you let me hold you the whole time...as long as you didn't have to look at me. You hugged me so tight. I always enjoyed doing silly things for you, pretending not to notice that you were watching me from across the room. The day in the park when we were flying kites was the best though. For the first time ever, while I was holding you, you finally unstuck your chin from my shoulder, took my face in both hands, and smiled, looking me straight in the eyes. I got your Tio Belen to take as many pictures as he could, in case it never happened again! I felt in those moments that you were letting me know that I didn't have to worry so much about the concerns that were weighing so heavily on my heart at that time. I love you and miss you so much. I think about you often and wish you were here to run around with your cousins. I look forward to the day we meet again, when I know that you will look me in the eyes and hug me so tight.

To my baby Rita. I miss you. I remember your hugs , kisses and your joy. No matter where you were you brought happiness with you.i remember the day at your school performance . Just as soon as the doors open and you walked in your hands flew up and stared hugging and waving and saying HI to everyone.I was amazed. I thought to myself how many people did I say hi to that day. One of my favorite memories of Rita was putting curlers in her hair for pajama day at school. She looked at herself in the bathroom mirror and smiled then covered her little face with her hands. I also loved when she would dance during music time. She was one of a kind! The sweetest little girl and full of joy!
My best memory of Rita is seeing her waiting at the door for me with the biggest, most beautiful smile on her face. As soon as I entered the house, she gave me the best hug. She was always so happy, which brought joy to everyone around her. Rita was such a special child.
A rare flower in perfect bloom.Rita i love you and miss you right now it is hard for me to say the right words to express how much of impact you have in my life. I miss you always and will love you forever.. Team Awesome.
Baby Rita; from the moment I had saw you you melted my heart. I always had a comfort and loving feeling when I would see you. Your hugs could warm a person up. You were such a beautiful girl inside and out. I'll miss seeing you but I know one day we will all meet again. It's never goodbye but see you again one day. Xoxo
