Ricky Jones, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, son and friend, passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 51.
He survived by his Pop (father) Bobby Jones; Ma, Rhonda Jones; Mother, Dixie Jackson; daughters, Alyssa Flores and Jayde Jones; grandchildren, Addison Flores, Oliver Flores, and Mylo Gonzalez; siblings, Kami Perez, Danny Jones, Joe Nichols, Kimberly Galloway, Chris Nichols, Jamie Nichols; and countless other family and friends.
He was deeply loved by his family, cherished by his friends, and remembered by all for the joy he brought into every room. His laughter was contagious, his spirit was lively, and he had a special way of making people feel welcome. Whether he was sharing stories, singing and dancing with a smile on his face, or simply enjoying time with those he loved, he created countless memories that will live on forever in our hearts. His kindness, warmth, and love for life touched so many, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, music, and unforgettable moments.
Ricky recently achieved a proud milestone in his career, having been promoted to Senior Supervisor at CPS Energy’s Calaveras Power Plant, where he dedicated 26 ½ years of hard work and commitment. He was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in everything he did. During his many years there, he built lifelong friendships with coworkers who became like family.
Outside of work, Ricky’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Whether it was sharing laughter, dancing, singing, or simply being together, he loved creating moments that turned into lasting memories. Those who knew him will always remember his warm spirit, his love for life, and the happiness he brought to those around him.
The memories we made with Ricky will be cherished forever. This is not goodbye, but “see you later.” You will be loved and remembered always.
