In Loving Memory of Richard Carrillo Jr.

Today, we come together with broken hearts to honor and celebrate the life of our beloved Richard Carrillo Jr. While words can never fully express the pain of losing him, we hope they can reflect the love we have for him and the impact he had on all of our lives.
Richard was more than a son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was a piece of our hearts. He was someone who could make us laugh when we needed it most, someone we could count on for a conversation, and someone whose presence could light up a room. His loss leaves a void that can never be filled.
Born on July 20, 1987, Richard brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories into our lives from the very beginning. On July 20, 2026, he left this world far too soon in Pecan Grove, San Antonio, Texas. Though we are devastated by his passing, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with him.
To his mother, Sylvia Vasquez, Richard was more than a son—he was her heart. The love they shared was unconditional and unbreakable. Anyone who knew Richard knew how much he loved his mom. She was his greatest source of comfort, strength, and love. Their bond was one of a kind, and it is a bond that not even death can break.
Richard’s greatest pride was being a father. He loved his children deeply and carried that love with him every day of his life. He leaves behind his beloved children, Trencidy Angel Sanchez-Carrillo, Richard Carrillo, Alyssa Carrillo, and his loving daughter. They were a precious part of his life and will forever carry his love, his spirit, and his memory in their hearts.
He leaves behind his loving mother, Sylvia Vasquez; his children, Trencidy Angel Sanchez-Carrillo, Richard Carrillo, Alyssa Carrillo, and his loving daughter; his sisters, Ricki Garza, Jeneva Sotello, and Rosie Carrillo; and his brothers, Rick Carrillo and Ryan Carrillo.
He is also survived by his uncles Javier Vasquez, Gilbert Vasquez, Ruben Carrillo, Ralph Carrillo, and Jesse Cabrera; his aunt Maria Chavez; and the many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who loved him deeply.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Carrillo Sr.; his uncles Ruben Vasquez, Martin Vasquez Jr., Raymond Carrillo, and Roger Carrillo; and his grandparents Martin Vasquez, Oscar Esparza, Mary Vasquez, Catalina Vasquez, and Anita Cabrera.
Richard enjoyed life in his own way. He loved Dragon Ball Z, WWE, and watching movies. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved being at Pecan Grove Bar, a place he considered his second home. Some of our favorite memories of Richard are the simple moments—the laughter, the stories, the jokes, and the time spent together.
What we will remember most is not the things Richard loved, but the love he gave. We will remember his smile, his laugh, his stubbornness, his loyalty, and the way he always remained unapologetically himself. We will remember how much he cared for his family and how fiercely he loved those closest to him.
Richard, if love alone could have saved you, you would still be here with us today.
We were not ready to say goodbye. We wanted more time, more conversations, more laughter, and more memories. But while your life ended too soon, your love never will. We will carry you with us in everything we do. We will speak your name, tell your stories, and keep your memory alive for generations to come.
Until we meet again, know that you will always be loved, always be missed, and always be a part of us.
