Rebecca C. Asebedo's Obituary
Rebecca C. Asebedo passed away at the age of 76 on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at her home in Poteet, Texas. She was surrounded by her devoted husband and immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Irene Cardenas, and her brothers, Santiago Jr., Arnulfo, Sylvester, Arturo, Oscar, and Benito.
Rebecca is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Robert J. Asebedo; her brother, Roberto Cardenas; her sisters, Florinda Galindo (Joe Galindo) and Ermelinda Vasquez; her children, Robert C. Asebedo, Zulema Asebedo, Antonio C. Asebedo, Irene Asebedo Vodochodsky (Anthony Vodochodsky), and Lupita Asebedo Montemayor (Dr. Ricardo Montemayor); her grandchildren, Aurelia, Krystan, Reyna, Mikaela, Jacob, Aliandra, Leyla, Ricky, Athan, and Max; four great-granddaughters; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
The Asebedo family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all who knew and loved “Becky.” She leaves behind a legacy of love, prayer, and unwavering faith that will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.
May the Lord welcome her into His eternal peace, and may His comfort and strength surround all who mourn her passing. “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:23)
A visitation will be held on December 22, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a prayer service is scheduled for December 22, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the same venue.
The funeral service will take place on December 23, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
