Ray Flores Jimenez's Obituary
Beloved Husband • Devoted Father • Faithful Son • Cherished Brother • Mentor • Man of God
Ray Jimenez was a beloved husband to his wife, Sonia, and a devoted father to his children Joshua, Kristian, and Ameerah. He was a faithful son to Robert and Connie, a loving brother to Bob, Rudy, and Ronnie, and a mentor whose life reflected humility, strength, and unwavering devotion to God.
Born on June 25, 1971, Ray entered this world with heavenly purpose. He fulfilled that purpose with steadfast love until he was called home in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 30th.
Ray grew up in a humble, Dallas‑Cowboys‑loving home, surrounded by the warmth of his parents and the companionship of his three brothers, Bob, Rudy, and Ronnie. At the age of 14, he met the love of his life, Sonia, and he promised her the best of his life; he kept that promise for more than 40 years. She was his best friend, his world, and the mother of his children.
In 1990, the Lord blessed Ray with his daughter Kristian. Six years later, in 1996, God answered his prayers again with the birth of his son Joshua. Later in life, Ray expressed his desire for his family to grow, and the Lord honored that desire by giving him the gift of being a father to his daughter Ameerah.
Ray was also blessed with his son‑in‑law, Joel, whom he loved as his own. It brought him deep joy to hear his teachings translated into Spanish, and he was often amazed at how faithfully those Spirit‑led messages were skillfully translated. Their bond was one of shared faith, love, and spiritual partnership.
Ray’s life was not measured by accolades or material wealth. It was measured by the fierce and unyielding love he carried for God, for his family, for our Jewish brothers, and for the body of Messiah.
He found joy in studying the Scriptures and sharing the insights God revealed to him with his family and congregation. One of his greatest blessings was witnessing those teachings continue to impact others and draw them closer to the Lord.
Ray leaves behind a legacy of faith, integrity, humility, and love. Though his voice is now silent among us, the truths he taught, the lives he touched, and the example he lived will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” - 2 Timothy 4:7
