Ramon Ybarra's Obituary
Ramon "Ray" Ybarra Jr, born on June 26, 1967, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 55. He is preceded in death by his father, Ramon Ybarra Sr., his stepfather Santos "Poncho" Encina. Ramon is survived by his wife, Catherine Rodriguez-Ybarra, daughters Marcela Ybarra and Melissa Ybarra, stepson Patrick Rodriguez, daughter in law Christina Rodriguez, mother Angela Lopez Encina; brothers, Richard Ybarra and Juan Ybarra; sister Veroncia Encina, alongside his nieces and nephew. Lastly, and closest to his heart, grandson Sorin "Papa Boy" Matthew Martinez. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by many and memories of him will be cherished forever. Ray was the life of the party, he could light up a room with a joke, or two, or ten. He loved his Raiders, his Spurs, an occasional game of golf, but most importantly he loved being with his family. No matter where, he wanted them close, and he will be in our hearts forever.
