Ralph De La Fuente, Jr. of Poteet, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the age of 76. He was born on July 28, 1941 to Ralph and Emilia (Soto) De La Fuente Sr. in Poteet. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rosalinda De La Fuente; Son, Rafael De La Fuente, Daughters; Laura Oliva and husband Robert Oliva Sr. and Yvette Navarro and husband John Navarro, Grandchildren; Bryce Sandoval, Gianna Navarro, Ethan Navarro, Maya Navarro, Adriana De La Fuente, Telma Briseno and husband Mark, Casara Martinez and husband James, Robert Oliva, Jr. and Ryan Oliva, Great grandchildren; Katalena Quintero, Ayden Amaya, Yzelma Briseno and Izayah Briseno, Brother; Zeke De La Fuente and wife Patsy, Sisters; Linda Garcia and husband Alfred, Arcelia Tijerina, Abby Martinez and husband Manuel, Ninfa Carpenter and husband Eric, Emma Ramirez and husband Joe; Mother in law, Martina Pena; Brother in laws, Jerry Pena and Jaime Pena; Sister in laws, Vicky Montemayor and Erma Salinas. He was a prominent businessman of De La Fuente’s Auto Parts and Garage, J+R’s Country Store and The Saloon. Ralph was the #1 Poteet Aggie fan. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. He was a fierce advocate for better education opportunities. His greatest passion in life was watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He was a hardworking and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He instilled in his children the importance of faith in God, family and a strong work ethic. Ralph will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He will forever live in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Emilia De La Fuente, brothers Pete De La Fuente and Fred De La Fuente. Visitation will take place at Camero Funeral Home in Von Ormy, Texas on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 4:00—9:00 p.m., the Rosary will take place at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July, 25, 2018 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery in Von Ormy, Texas. Pallbearers for Ralph’s service will be Bryce Sandoval, Ethan Navarro, Louis Salinas Sr., Danny De La Fuente, Alfred Garcia Jr., Joe Sanchez, Bernard Aguilar and honorary pallbearer Ayden Amaya.
