Patricia M. White's Obituary
With grace and peace, Patricia M. White was called home on Sunday, May 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She faced her final moments with the same quiet strength and dignity that defined her life, leaving behind a legacy rooted in compassion, joy, and unwavering love.
Born in Laredo, Texas, Patricia’s life was rich in relationships and filled with laughter. A devoted mother to four daughters and a proud grandmother to four grandsons, her love extended far beyond her immediate family—many came to know her simply as “Mom,” drawn in by her warmth and generosity.
Though she began her teaching career later in life, Patricia had always been a natural educator and a source of guidance to many. Whether offering a listening ear, heartfelt advice, or simply a comforting presence, she made a lasting impact. While she may not have remembered every student's name, her students never forgot Mrs. White.
Patricia was the heart of her family—the matriarch who kept everyone connected. As the eldest of six siblings, she remained closely involved in the lives of her extended family, keeping up with every milestone, celebration, and daily detail. Her days were joyfully filled with family gatherings, cheering on her grandsons at their games, chatting on the phone with her sisters, nurturing her plants, and indulging in her favorite pastime—shopping.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Noel, her parents Benjamin and Maria Luisa Mendoza, her sister Norma Flores, and her cherished pets Hondo, Dakota, and Cheyenne.
Patricia is survived by her daughters: Sandra (ex-husband Dewayne), Melissa (wife Julie), Sonya (husband Bobby), and Marissa (husband Brad); her grandchildren: Alex, Sebastian, Baron, and Thor; her sisters Ana and Juanita (“Peaches”); her brothers Rafael (“Faify”) and Benjamin Jr.; and a large, loving circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Her presence in their lives was a gift, and her memory will be deeply treasured.
A visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Camero Funeral Home, 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073. In honor of Patricia’s love for plants, the family welcomes living plants as a tribute, to be cared for in her memory.
