Nicolas A. Lopez's Obituary
Nicolas Aguilar Lopez, born on June 12, 1954, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at his home in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 68. He is preceded in death by his parents; Guadalupe and Donasiano Lopez. Mr. Lopez is survived by his children, Raymond Scott Lopez (Evelyn) and Raquel Nicole Lopez-Villanueva (Raul); grandchildren, Priscilla L. Salinas (Alexander), Matthew R. Villanueva, Sela R. Villanueva, Autumn R. Lopez, Nicholas S. Lopez, Antonio Jackson, Anthony Jackson; sister, Yolanda R. Contreras; nieces and nephews, Yolanda, John, Irene, Manuel, Michael, Joseph, Tom, Cynthia; aunts and uncles, Adolf Aguilar and family; ex-wife and friend, Betty L. Lasater; and his cat, Tommie. Mr. Lopez attended Harlandale High School and then entered the construction field where he was able to start his own business of building houses. After 32 years of service with Metro Contracting, he retired in 2020 and was able to spend more time with his family. He enjoyed outdoor activities, spending time with his grandchildren, sports, trips to the casino and scratching lottery tickets.
Dad was a God-fearing man, a man of integrity, stood by his word and led by example. He showed his love with his wisdom, always giving undivided attention. He was also a graceful and generous man and was a man of faith who trusted God with his life.
