Nancy Alvarez Alvarado's Obituary
With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Nancy Alvarez Alvarado, a devoted wife, cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and treasured member of her family and friends. Nancy was born on July 12, 1960, To Gabriel Alvarez and Carmen Sanchez in San Antonio Texas and went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2025, surrounded by the loved ones she held most dear.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Arturo Alvarado Jr., her beloved grandson Vincent Isaiah Cortez, her brothers Gabriel Alvarez Jr., Aurelio Alvarez, Gerardo Alvarez, Reynaldo Sanchez Jr., her brother-in-law Rudolph Salazar, and her niece and goddaughter Beyonca Raylen Sanchez. Their reunion in heaven is a comfort to those who mourn her here on Earth.
Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love through her children:
Her daughter Yvonne Cortez and husband Celestino Cortez;
Her son Arturo Alvarado III and wife Alma Alvarado;
Her son Marco Alvarado and girlfriend Gabby Ortiz;
Her son Ricco Alvarado and wife Valarie Alvarado;
Her adopted sons Augustine Jimenez and Julian Jimenez.
She is also survived by her siblings: sisters Carmen Guerra, Juanita Alvarez, Angelita Gonzalez, Celestina Cardenas, and brother Able Alvarez.
Nancy was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and she was lovingly surrounded by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will carry her memory with them always.
Nancy’s life was a beautiful reflection of unconditional love, deep faith, and quiet strength. Though her absence leaves a deep void, her legacy will continue in the lives she shaped and the love she gave so freely. We are forever grateful for the time we had with her and the light she brought into our lives. She gave of herself endlessly—whether it was through comforting words, warm meals, or simply being present when someone needed her most. She lived not for recognition, but for the joy of caring for others, and that love lives on in every person she touched.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband, grandson, and family members in eternal peace. The values she instilled—faith, compassion, and family—will continue to guide us. Her legacy is not only in the stories we tell but in the way we love one another moving forward.
Nancy Alvarez Alvarado was a light in our lives, and though that light may no longer shine here on Earth, it burns brightly in our hearts forever.
Rest peacefully, Mama. You will be missed beyond measure and loved for all time.
Love,
Your Children
