Monica "Cota" Sotello's Obituary
Monica (Cota) Sotello was born April 1, 1941 in Campbellton, Texas to Patricio Hernandez and Monica Gonzales Hernandez. She passed away April 29, 2019 in Campbellton. She was preceded in death by her husband Alberto (Beto) Sotello, son Patricio Sotello, Manuel and Mariana Garcia, who raised her at the time of her parents death, sister Veronica Luna, and niece Laura Hernandez.
She is survived by her son Joe Sotello and wife Diana, daughter Monica Garcia & Bernardo Hernandez all of Campbellton. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Jessica Sotello and Manuel Cruz Jr., Eric Garcia, Jacqueline Sotello, Anthony Garcia, Jennifer Sotello and Jericho Trevino, John Garcia and Corina Jimenez, Trey Garcia and Joseph Sotello. She had 8 great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Alcorta, Aaron & Darron Cruz, Ricky Alcorta Jr, Aiden Alcorta, Julianna & Jolene Trevino, Aubryana Garcia. Also surviving are her brothers John Joe Hernandez of Rosenberg, Mario Garcia of San Antonio, Noel & Cris Garcia of Pleasanton, Louis & Emily Garcia of Dekalb, IL and Homer & Carol Garcia of Campbellton. She is also
survived by many nieces and nephews along with many friends.
Services will be held on Monday May 6th. The viewing will be from 4pm - 9pm with the rosary starting at 7pm. Mass will be Tuesday May 7th, 2019 at 10am. Rosary & Mass will all take place at Sacred Heart Church in Campbellton. Burial will be at Campbellton City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Garcia, Anthony Garcia, John Garcia, Joseph Sotello, Manuel Cruz Jr. & Elojio Sotello.
