Modesto Chagoya, 84, was born on February 24, 1939, in Kyle, TX. He passed away on August 19, 2023, in Pleasanton, TX. He called his home Poteet, TX for more than 25 years
He was a beloved father of six children included with their spouses, and thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren, with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Father Issac Chagoya, Mother, Feliciana Arrigia Chagoya, Sister, Ramona Chagoya Bosquez, Brother, Juan Chagoya, Sister, Victora Chagoya Sandoval, Brother, Larry Chagoya, Brother, Teddy Chagoya, Brother, Fidel Chagoya, and Refugia R. Salinas companion of 37 years.
Survived by, Sister Maria Chagoya Lopez, Brother’s Justo Chagoya, and Joe Chagoya
A quiet and hardworking man who loved the simple things in life like putting in a hard day’s work and after enjoying a beer with friend or family. He was a private person who really loved his family. He will be missed and our hope is that someday we will see each other again.
A Rosary and Visitation will be held on August 31, 2023, at 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Camero Funeral Home at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 State Hwy 16 South Von Ormy, TX 78073. The Rosary will take place at 6:00 pm at the same location.
A second visitation will take place on September 1, 2023, at 9:00 am – 9:45 am (CT) St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, 274 Avenue H, Poteet, TX 86065. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at the same location
