Melda B. Escobedo's Obituary
Melda B. Escobedo, age 77 of San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026 surrounded by family. Born on October 5, 1948 in Levelland, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Manuela Balderas, Bobby Balderas (brother), Arturo Quinonez Jr. (son-n-law).
Melda was a beautiful caring soul, and loving wife to husband Robert Escobedo for 58 glorious years. She is survived together, with her 3 daughters Monica (Lucio) Garza, Sabrina Quinonez, Robin (Joe) Saldana, and her sibling Rachel Estrada (sister). Along with her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She shared in life-long love, laughter, and journeys with family, which in the end was her most prized and greatest accomplishment.
SERVICES
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Palm Heights Mortuary. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
