Mary Lou Cohrs' Obituary
Mary Lou Cohrs, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant
of God, entered eternal rest surrounded by love. Born on August 23, 1947, in San Antonio,
Texas, Mary Lou lived a life marked by faith, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her
family and community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry A. Cohrs. Mary Lou is survived
by her cherished brother, Joe (Linda) Trinidad; her loving children, Cristina, Anthony
(Quinn), Gerry (Marie), and Rosemarie Sifuentes; her treasured grandchildren, Angelica,
Julianna (Austin), Gerry (Jennifer), Anthony (Dollie), Michael (Gabby), Vanessa (Gilbert),
Destiny, Christopher, Joshua, Nicholas, Elliot, Jasmine, and Jonathan; her precious great
granddaughter, Sophia; and her soon-to-arrive great-grandson.
Mary Lou dedicated over 30 years to civil service, working at Kelly and Randolph Air Force
Base with diligence and pride. Outside of work, she found joy in traveling, exploring the
world, and testing her luck at casinos. However, her greatest love was her family. She
cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, investing her time and
wisdom in shaping the lives of her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
As a pillar of faith, Mary Lou committed herself to teaching her family the values of the
Church and the love of God. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and deep spirituality will
continue to guide those she leaves behind. She devoted her life to serving others with
unwavering dedication. She played a vital role in bringing families and children to St. Peter
the Fisherman Church and faithfully served as the Director of Religious Education until
2022.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Mary Lou’s life and honor her memory at St.
Peter the Fisherman Church 17534 TX-16 Von Ormy, TX 78073. Services are as follows: Rosary: Friday, January 10, 2025, at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass: Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Mary Lou will be laid to rest following the ceremony. Interment Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road San Antonio, TX 78209 Committal Service: Monday, January 13, 2025, at 10:15 AM Shelter 2 for ceremony. While she will be deeply missed, her light and love will remain
in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, be reunited with her
Savior, in the Kingdom of Heaven.
