Martin Lopez Chavez entered into rest on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Mr. Chavez proudly served in the United States Army.
Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Francisco R. Chavez, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Manuel T. Lopez; maternal grandmother, Aurea Julia Pagan; and paternal step grandfather, Anselmo Lerma. Mr. Chavez is loved and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, beginning with his father, Francisco R. Chavez, Jr. and stepmother Brenda Elizabeth Chavez; mother, Maribel P. Walton and stepfather, Arlo Lorenzo Walton; brothers, Mark Anthony Lopez Chavez and Mathew James Lopez Chavez; maternal grandmother, Maria R. Chavez Vasquez and step grandfather, Ramon Sanchez y Vasquez; step grandmother, Maria Lerma; nieces and nephews, Sariah Lee Chavez, Joseph Angel Chavez, Nova Ayla Chavez, and one baby niece or nephew on the way.
A visitation will be on Monday, May 18, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at New Hope church, 22130 White Trail, Von Ormy, Texas 78073. A prayer service will be held in the evening at 6 p.m. at the church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2021 at 10:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 Highway 16 South, Von Ormy, TX 78073. Services and care under the direction of Camero Funeral Home at City Base.
