Marta C. Gomez, born on February 14, 1916, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Poteet, Texas, at the age of 97 years. Ms. Gomez is preceded in death by her mother, Antonia Gomez; son, Reynaldo Cruz and grandchild Roland Cruz. She is survived by her daughters, Enedelia Martinez, Ernestina Escamilla and Delia Guerra; son, Rosendo Cruz; grandchildren, Angelica Ramirez, Irma Andrade, Cindy Ramos, Jennifer Valles, Valerie Canales, Jason Escamilla, Anna Guerra, Gloria Guerra, Sylvia Guerra, Chris Cruz, Homer Cruz, Michael Cruz, Mario Cruz and Ricardo Cruz; 17 great-grandchildren; and also numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives. Visitation will begin Monday, November 4, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary Service will be held Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Poteet, Texas. Burial will follow in First Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Camero Funeral Home.
