Mark Anthony Bais born on April 19, 1979 in San Antonio, Texas entered into eternal rest at his home on September 23, 2025 at the age of 46. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Genevieve Bais; stepfather, Norberto Lozano; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bais; and his best friends he considered his brothers, Orlando, Pete, and Robert. Mark is survived by his children, Alissa Bais and Mark Anthony Bais, Jr.; mother, Yolanda Bais; siblings, Eric Bais (Roxanne), Michael Bais (Krystal), Sandra Rodriguez, John Rodriguez (Elizabeth); 9 nephews, 4 nieces, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and best friends, Jesse Leija (Marina), and Jesse Limon. Mark was a man with a heart as big as the world. He went out of his way to help anyone and everyone, no matter the circumstance. He was humble, kind, and lived a simple life, never driven by material things but by love, loyalty, and compassion. Mark loved the outdoors and could often be found spending time in nature. Above all, he cherished his time with his daughter. He devoted all his extra moments to her — taking her out, going to the movies, and creating memories she will carry with her forever. When he wasn’t with his daughter, he was with his closest friends, sharing laughs and making the most of every moment. He had a unique sense of humor and a gentle spirit. He lived life with humility, always putting others first. Mark experienced one true love in his life — his beloved wife, Gena. Her passing left a hole in his heart, but he honored her memory every year by attending Día de los Muertos at Woodlawn Park. It became a tradition — one he took pride in — making sure his family always had the best spot to remember and celebrate their loved ones. Every Christmas, Mark brought joy to the community by dressing up as the Grinch and taking pictures with children. He would also fill his truck with Christmas trees and give them to families in need — another reflection of the love and generosity that defined him.
Even when he was upset, Mark never turned away someone in need. His love for others was unwavering. Every weekend, without fail, he would visit the cemetery to bring flowers to loved ones who had passed. When Mark became ill, he made sure everything was taken care of, thinking not of himself, but of his family. He even purchased a bench for his mother at the cemetery — a place for her to sit when she came to visit, knowing his time with her was limited. Mark’s life was a beautiful example of selflessness, love, and devotion. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will live on in the hearts of everyone who knows him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
