Mario Alberto Gonzalez was called home to the Father's House on April 29, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born in Encinal, Texas, on January 18, 1956.
Mario is preceded in death by his parents, Lazaro & Leonor Gonzalez; and siblings, Dagoberto Gonzalez, Lazaro Gonzalez, Jr., Esmeralda Solorio and Rolando Gonzalez. Mario is loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of 48 years, Leticia Gonzalez; his children, Mario Alberto Gonzalez, Jr., Lisa Marie Rodriguez, Tony Gonzalez, Tina Louise Gonzalez, Kimberly Irene Gonzalez and Michael Ray Gonzalez; 18 Grandchildren and many Great-Grandchildren. Also mourning Mario's passing are his siblings, Coronado Gonzalez, Roxanne Soto-Serna, Zenida Guerra, Rick Gonzalez. Maribel Cavazos, Leonor Gonzalez and Mauro Gonzalez; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mario was a dedicated and loving father and husband. He adored his wife of 48 years and loved his 6 children. He worked hard for his family every single day from the age of 12. He was full of life, always needing to be on the move. He loved to fish and hunt and be surrounded by his loved ones, both family and friends. He was goofy and enjoyed life as fully as he could. He is dancing his way across Heaven, stomping out fake spiders, and riding horses. He was loved and cherished by everyone he knew. He will be with each and every one of us, every single day of our lives.
