Maria Refugia "Cuca" R Salinas, born on September 25, 1944, in Poteet, Tx passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in Pleasanton, Texas at the age of 78. She is preceded in death by her parents Andres U. and Micaela R. Rodriguez; siblings, San Juanita Rodriguez, Louisa R Luebano, and Jesus R Rodriguez. She is Survived by Husband Modesto Chagoya; Son, Isaac Chagoya; Grandson,Christopher "Shy" Chagoya ; Siblings, Jose R Rodriguez (Josie), Pedro R Rodriguez, Guadalupe R Hernandez, Ester R Contero, and Yolanda R Castanon (Art); Aunt, Juanita R Felan; sister in-law, Emma Rodriguez as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and puzzle books. She had a sweet tooth with a contagious smile. Cuca worked for many years at Sterling Bakery in San Antonio. Many of her nieces and some nephews had the pleasure of learning to make mud pies while using the tin foil pans from the "sweet treats" Cuca would bring home. Cuca was a loving person who truly enjoyed being around her Family. She had a heart of gold. Cuca will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
