Maria Luisa Puentes' Obituary
Maria L. Puentes, age 63, entered eternal rest on May 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and faith. She was born on August 16, 1962, and lived a life filled with joy, devotion, music, and love for those around her.
Maria was the beloved wife of Julian R. Puentes, with whom she shared a loving marriage since November 23, 1998. Together they built a life centered around family, faith, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
She was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Christina Jasso, Maria Cortez-Reeh, and Elizabeth Puentes. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Mellino, Seth, Benjamin, and Tobias, who brought endless joy and light into her life.
Maria is also survived by her loving mother, Edelmira, and her siblings, Jose, Miguel, and Elvira, along with many extended family members, friends, and members of her church community who loved her deeply.
Maria had a beautiful spirit and a smile that could light up any room—especially when she danced. She loved music of all kinds, especially cumbias, rock and roll, oldies, and line dancing. Dancing brought her happiness, energy, and peace, and anyone who saw her dance saw her heart come alive.
Her faith was an important part of her life. Maria faithfully served as a Eucharistic Minister and was an active member of ACTS and Grupo de Oración. She loved her church family dearly and dedicated much of her life to serving others with compassion, kindness, and prayer.
Maria will be remembered for her loving heart, joyful spirit, strong faith, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and cared for. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, laughter, and beautiful smile will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
