Maria De Jesus Ortiz, born April 17, 1933 in Mexico, passed away on Friday December 27, 2019 surrounded by her family in San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Ortiz is survived by her loving husband, Genaro Ortiz; Children, Evangelina Barroso (Adan), Maria Guadalupe Berg (Norman), Rodolfo Ortiz (Sally), Noe Ortiz, Leticia Gutierrez (Michael), Martina Rendon (Roland), Marta Rodriguez (Benny), Genaro Ortiz, Jr. (Denise); 22 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren. Maria loved gardening and cooking. Tending to her roses was her favorite pass time, along with cooking tamales every year. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Visitation will begin on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home. An Evening Service will be held on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Camero Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery in Von Ormy, Tx.
