Maria Socorro Lopez's Obituary
Maria Socorro Lopez, age 82, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her son, Nicolas Perez and her parents, Elvira Castro and Matias Medina. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Miguel B. Lopez; sons, Mike Lopez (Gloria) and Tony Lopez; daughters, Rosa Garcia, Martha Vargas, Susan Sanchez (Johnny), Rosie Lopez (Ray) and Hilda Lopez; and 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Also numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives. Mrs. Lopez was a member of the Guadalupana Society of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. She also enjoyed gardening on the Church grounds. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as others who knew and loved her. The family of Mrs. Lopez wishes to thank Pastor Roland and nurses, Cynthia, Edith, and Priscilla of Altus Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Lopez. Visitation will begin Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. A Rosary Service will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Burial will follow in First Memorial Park Cemetery.
