Maria Guadalupe Ramos Hurtado's Obituary
Maria Guadalupe Ramos Hurtado, affectionately known as Lupe by all who knew and loved her, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on March 22, 1944, in Matamoros, Coahuila, Mexico, to Ramon Flores and Eva Antopia Fuantos.
Lupe was a kindhearted and generous woman, best known for her warmth and her deep love for her family. She especially treasured her grandchildren, showering them with affection and delighting in every opportunity to spoil them. Her unwavering faith in God was a guiding force in her life—she prayed with devotion and strength for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin Mena Hurtado; her son, Miguel Angel Hurtado; and her brother, Juan Manuel Ramos. Lupe is survived by her brother, Enrique Esparza; her children, Sergio Ramos Hurtado and his wife Yomeida, Martin Ramos Hurtado and his wife Cecilia, and Eva Parkin and her husband Peter.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Erika Hurtado, Sergio Hurtado, Brianna Ochoa, Tito Hurtado, Genesis Hurtado, Samuel Hurtado, Xxandra Parkin, Simon-Peter Parkin, and Arryana Parkin; and her great-grandchildren: Lillyanna Hurtado, Annaliah Hurtado, Alivia Martinez, Harley Ochoa, Eric Ochoa, Amina Hurtado, and Adriel Hurtado.
A visitation for Lupe will be held Monday, April 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A celebration of life will occur Monday, April 28, 2025, at 7:00 PM, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A committal service will occur Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
