In loving memory of Maria Lidia Gonzales; Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister has joined her Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 11, 2018. Lidia was born to Alfonso and Jesusa Gomez in Rossville, Texas and married Gilberto Gonzales on November 23, 1954. From that union they were blessed with seven children; Linda Ann Gonzales, Nancy Alvarado (Israel), Lisa Johns (Byron), Deborah Phrampus (Ernie), Johnny Gilbert Gonzales (JoAnn), Ernest Anthony Gonzales (Deceased) and Rosie MacDonald. Surviving Brothers; Mike Gomez (Carmen), Julian Gomez (Bertha), Jesse Gomez (DeeDee); Loving Sisters, Beatrice Gomez Barrientoz and Maria Luisa Perez (Ramon). Maria Lidia was a Grandmother of twenty-three and a great-grandmother of twenty-two. The joys of her life was being with her family and attending sports events that her family was involved in. She was a huge Spurs Fan. When anyone came over she was quick to feed everyone and nobody left hungry. She also loved being outside taking care of her plants, always pruning and planting something new. Maria Lidia was a lifelong resident of San Antonio and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
We would like to acknowledge the care givers that came in our time of need; Angelita Segura, Desaree Gaitan, Vanessa Reyes and Norma Morales. Also a Special thanks to her nurse Jeremiah white and the entire team at Cima Hospice.
Thank you, Rocky Alvarado and Paola Sansores, for the beautiful memorial brochures; Justin and Ashley Gonzales for the music and photo gallery and thank you to Nicole Alvarado, Staci Schoellhorn and Crystal Valera for being so helpful and caring for their Grandmother. Our eternal Gratitude to JoAnn and Johnny Gonzales for al the help and sacrifices they made during this most painful time.
