Maria Dolores Garcia's Obituary
Maria Dolores Garcia, a devoted Catholic, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on June 7th, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born on March 11th, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas, to Abel Alvarado Borrego and Juanita Ramon Borrego.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph S. Garcia; her father, Abel Borrego; her brother, Abel Borrego Jr.; her son, Lauro Armando Martinez; her niece, Valerie Camarillo; her nephew, Raymond Ancira Sr.; and her great-nephew, Raymond Alexander Ancira Jr.
She is survived by her mother Juanita Ramon Borrego, with brothers and sisters. Sons, Thomas Martinez, Jason Martinez, and Michael Moreno, who will continue to honor her memory. Maria was a proud and loving grandmother to Joe Angel Martinez, Jeanette Martinez, Amber Fietz, Raiden Martinez, Michelle Martinez, Ryan Martinez, Leighann Ashley Martinez, Yvette Martinez, Alisia Martinez, Kiara Martinez, and Alaina Martinez. Christan Hernandez, Michael Moreno Jr Emily Moreno. Her legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren, Joe Angel Jr. Martinez, Mariana Martinez, Gahlianah Huereca, Jaylianah Huereca, Mia Martinez, Louis Servin, James Servin, Elliott Fietz, Edwin Fietz, and Jean Martinez.
Maria's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for her family. She found great solace and strength in her devotion to the Catholic Church. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church in Maria's memory.
May Maria Dolores Garcia rest in eternal peace, embraced by the loving arms of our Lord and reunited with those who have gone before her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this time of loss. Services will be held at Delgado Funeral Home, 2200 West Martin Street, San Antonio TX 78207. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 20, 2024 at 4 p.m. Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Departure will be on Friday June 21, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, 7790 Military Dr West, San Antonio, TX at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 Highway 16 South Von Ormy Texas 78073.
