Maria “Mary” AcostaBeautiful Wife, Mother and GrandmotherMaria “Mary” Villarreal Acosta, 74, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, February 10th, 2015, at Baptist Mission Trail Hospital. She was a native San Antonian, born daughter of the late Salamon and Felipa Delagarza Villarreal on November 5th, 1940. She was preceded in death by her brother Catarino Villarreal. Survivors include her faithful husband of 55 years, Frank Acosta Sr., sons Bobby Acosta, and his wife Andrea of San Antonio, Abel Acosta and his wife Vanessa of San Dimas, California, Chris Acosta and his fiancé Emily of Austin, and David Acosta of Boca Raton, Florida, sisters Lupe Salinas of San Antonio, Rosie Villarreal of Devine, Lucy Rivera of Pleasanton, and brothers Salamon Villarreal of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, Johnny Villarreal and Valentino Villarreal of San Antonio, and four grandchildren, Trevor Acosta, Josh Acosta, Jake Acosta, and Ella Rose Acosta.A memorial mass will be held at Saint Peter’s Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church on Saturday, February 14th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s honor may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project of San Antonio.
