Magdalena Castellanos' Obituary
Magdalena Castellanos, born October 14, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2024, at the age of 79.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Demetrio & Guadalupe Dorish and her sister, Mary Huron.
She is survived by her children, Juan Jose Castellanos, Guadalupe "Lupita" Castellanos and Jovita Castellanos Mendez (Valdette); grandchildren, Rosalie Marie Castellanos, Jose Briseno, Mickey Ray Castellanos, Ariel Marie Valdez, Justice Anysia Valdez, Mario Jesus Castellanos, Tyler Castellanos and Tanner Castellanos; sister, Josie Trejo; great-grandchildren, Akayla Lynn Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Charles Edward Valdez III, Natalynn Rose Valdez, Lilah Mae Rose Huerta, Juvia Kristen Rangel, Eden Rai Rangel, Lenox Niko Valdez, and Vatican Uriel.
Magdalena was a fierce warrior in her battle against cancer. Through every challenge, she exemplified resilience, inspiring everyone around her. She faced each treatment with unwavering determination, always finding light in the darkest moments. Beyond her fight against cancer, Magdalena was known for sewing skills, and for her love of crossword puzzles. She will forever be in our hearts, and her legacy of strength and love will live on in all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Thursday, October 24, 2024, a Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 PM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
