Mrs. Mary Ann Alva
I remember Louis, his favorite opening question was," guess how old am I?" He looked a lot younger than his 80's plus.He had many talents, and he put them to work,he was an inspector befored he retired for a plant off of Broadway St .in San Antonio where they rebuild small parts for US tanks., and he liked to remember the many picnics the company sponsored for the employee at MacArthur's Park.. When you visited Louis,. you never left his home hungry. He cooked the most delicious Mexican Sopasand beans we ever tasted. He would go to the HEB almost everday and bring home the grocery and bless them before he storage them in the fridge or pantry.. He was a sharp dresser and loved playing music, especially when he drove his fancy red truck visiting friends in nursing homes and surrounding small towns like his home town Nixon,Seguin,Gonzales and New Brunfuels Tx.., And singing the many Spanish songs he grew up with, and dancing in his younger days at Lerma's Night Club and later years listening to conjunto music at The Hall on Southcross St and at the Flea Market on Eisenhower St with family and friends. He spend many happy hours playing card games like gin rummy., bingo and chicken foot a dominoes game.with visitors.
The most important things in his life was his beloved children, brother and sisters., He was a. true believer in God and the best friend and neighbor anyone could ever have.. RIP "Caparito"
