Lidia P. Salazar's Obituary
Lidia P. Salazar, born December 10, 1934 to Clemente Perez and Margarita Hernandez Perez in San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the age of 85 years. Mrs. Salazar was preceded in death by her husband, Reymundo Salazar. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Lydia Paiz and Armando Paiz; daughter, Rachel Velasquez and Conrad Vega; son, Raymond Salazar; grandson, Nathan Paiz and Chrystell; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Paiz, Analiz Mia Paiz and Zoe Jazlyn Paiz; also numerous other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Salazar was strong in her faith and was a member of the Church of God 7th Day, her favorite Bible verse was Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”. She served as a Teacher for the Children’s Ministry, was a Women’s Director, and a Youth Sponsor at Church. Mrs. Salazar enjoyed working and had numerous jobs during her lifetime. She worked as a Clinical Nursing Assistant, went on to operate a forklift while employed at Patio Foods, was employed as a Nanny for a military couple, caring for their children, and continued as a caregiver working until she retired at the age of 72 years. Mrs. Salazar was an avid swimmer and taught swimming lessons to Senior’s at the Natatorium. She enjoyed listening to music as well as playing music. Her favorite meal of the day was breakfast, always asking where were her eggs? Mrs. Salazar will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
