Leroy Guerrero's Obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Leroy (Papa Roy) Guerrero. Born in San Antonio TX on February 16,1959, Papa Roy was a delight to all who were blessed to know him. His life was a testament to the dedication, hard work and love that he had for his family. Papa Roy cherished being a beloved husband, a doting father, a caring son, and a loyal brother to his 3 siblings. He was fortunate enough to marry the love of his life, Esther Elsie Guerrero on January 16, 1999, and together they celebrated over 35 years of marriage.
Papa Roy had a few hobbies, one which included enjoying listening to Oldies but goodies which were part of his soul, and if you ever heard him sing, you were one of the lucky ones. Carpentry was an easy task for him, and teaching his wife new things was always fun. He also loved classic cars and always enjoyed racing them. Western movies were his go to entertainment along with eating sweets. But his greatest passion was sitting outside with a cold one.
Leroy was preceded in death by his son, Hector Romero, father Jose Guerrero, brothers, Joseph Felipe, Ernest Guerrero, granddaughter, Sailah Daizee Esqueda and mother-in-law, Nellie Esqueda.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Esther Guerrero, children, Joseph R. Guerrero, Roger R. Esqueda (Stephanie), Leticia Guerrero, Priscilla Esqueda (Erica) mother, Lucia Guerrero, sister, Mary Helen Guerrero. Grandchildren, Analiah Guerrero, Aubrianna, Audrianna, Roger Esqueda II, Jose, Eric Esqueda, Jose, Belinda, Esperanza, Barrientos, Joaquin Flores, Hector, Jonas, Sallie, Nelly, Myra Romero, great grandchildren, Josiah, Matthew, Noah, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation for Leroy will be Tuesday October 29, 2024, from 3:00 PM till 9:30 PM with a service at 7:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. San Antonio TX 78211. Chapel service will be Wednesday October 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home with interment to follow at First memorial Park- Von Ormy TX.
