Larry A. Steubing's Obituary
Larry Alan Steubing was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 27,1956 to Glenn and Lucille Steubing. He entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2021 at the age of 64.
Larry graduated from East Central High School in 1975 as a member of the ROTC. After graduating he began his military career with the United States Navy through 1979. He later joined the United States Air Force where he retired as a Staff Sergeant in 1996. After his retirement he moved his family to Bryan, Texas where he spent the better part of the next 20 years. He eventually returned to his hometown where he enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, league bowling and watching wrestling. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved dancing at Martinez Social Hall and playing cards with his mother.
Larry was preceded in death by his father Glenn Steubing, aunt Jackie Burgin and nephew Johnny Simmang. He is survived by his children; son and wife Jeffrey and Morgan Steubing, son and wife Matthew and Stormie Steubing, son and wife Casey and Mia Steubing and his daughter Krista Steubing and step-daughter Jodi Loveall; mother Lucille Watters, mother and husband Eunice and Tom Trainer; grandchildren Kimberly, Keeley, Alaric, Kyra, Oliver, Sheridan, Milo, Jace, Eliza and step-granddaughter Ellie; sister and husband Nancy and Brad Simon, brother and wife Christopher and Amy Steubing, sister and husband Joyce and Wally Hess, brother and wife Joe and Madalaine Stalls. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Wounded Warrior Project in Larry's honor.
