Juanita M. Martinez's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Juanita M. Martinez, 91. Born on May 6th, 1932 in Wharton, Tx to Teodoso and Inez Reyes Martinez.
She is preceded in death by her dear husband Guadalupe and beloved son John Henry.
She is survived by her children Hilda Graham ( Ron ); Cynthia Lorbieski ( Donn ) and son Michael ; her sisters Gloria Pena and Gavina Ruiz ( of Oregon ); grandchildren Carolyn Martinez, Rozlyn Kosacz ( Chad ) ; Heather Terrell and Rebekah Morales ( Felix ); great grandchildren Noah, Seth, Felix, Brandon, and Danielle.
Juanita worked hard all her life and gave the best of herself to the family she loved. She will be affectionately remembered as someone who liked to cook and crochet. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her.
A visitation for Juanita will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A rosary will occur Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Helena Catholic Church, 14714 Edgemont St, San Antonio, TX 78247. A graveside will occur Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
